Relationship with God

Stewardship of our Minds

A solid understanding of the Bible and theology is key to the development of our minds. The problem is, go into any bookstore these days, and you will find that there are plenty of individuals seeking to merchandise their faith for a profit. However, the truth is, much of the best in Christian Scholarship/study aids are available for free on the internet. Here are a few of my favorite sites. This is a great website. Dr. Tom Constable is the head of the Department of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary. This site contains all of his notes on each of the 66 books of the Bible. Over 8,000 pages of top quality, yet very accessible scholarship! Having studied under Tom, I can say that his notes are cutting edge as respects their scholarship, as well as being applicable to daily life. Additionally, Tom has written an excellent book on prayer, which is also available, just like his notes, free of charge at this site. - Another great site with tons of study aids, a search engine for sermon/Sunday school illustrations, as well as a free downloadable copy of the NET (New English Translation) Bible. Great topical studies as well. - This is a goldmine. Virtually every Christian classic that is in the public domain (including greats such as Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, Dante's Inferno, Calvin's Institutes of Theology, and many many more) are available for free downloads in both PDF and WORD format. This is a vast free library that will give anyone literally a lifetime of top quality reading material. - A wonderful site, interfacing Christian theology with issues of contemporary culture. Very strong in the area of apologetics. Good topical studies, great stuff on how to share your faith.

No, one need not spend a king's ransom for solid Bible study material. Give these resources a try. I think you will enjoy them, and you can't beat the price!
